Carnaroli Rice

Our Extra Carnaroli Rice is matured for 12 months. It is a superfine low stickiness rice, considered the best rices in Italy. Thanks to its roasting and the ability to always remain al dente, it is one of the favorite varieties of great cuisine.

It is a consistent rice excellent for risottos, considered the "prince" of rice: it looses little starch but has a good ability to absorb liquids during cooking.

Characteristics: large, tapered beans that perfectly absorb seasonings.

Widely used for risotto in all preparations.

Magisa Rice is a territorial project that has gone beyond national borders, assuming an intercontinental character with the recognition of the kosher certification, among the most rigid in terms of control of origin and traceability of products.

In the plains of Sibari, a stone's throw from the colony of the same name in Magna Grecia (Great Greece), the horizon profile as far as the eye can see, is dotted with rice fields, which together with olive trees and expanses of clementines, draw the agricultural landscape of this nestled portion of Calabria between the Pollino mountain and the Ionian coast. Here biodiversity rhymes with quality, research, and  territorial development, marrying a type of cultivation with a low environmental impact and focusing on the identity of the cultivars. The short agricultural chain controls the entire production cycle, from the field to marketing.

Here the Greeks in the ancient colony of Sybaris had already dedicated themselves to the cultivation of the herbaceous plant.  Magisa: a young entrepreneurial reality that has made the added value of a territory, blending agricultural tradition and history.
