ITINERARY

DAY 1

Welcome to Calabria

STAGE 1 - Arrive and check in to Hang Loose Cottage and complimentary welcome dinner.

DAY 2

STAGE 1 - Breakfast and guided tour in San Floro to the silk farm, learn about silk tradition in Italy.

STAGE 2 - Lunch with farm to table products.

STAGE 3 - In the afternoon, cooking class at Hang Loose Cottage.

DAY 3

STAGE 1 - Breakfast and enjoy the resort or the beach and a light lunch.

STAGE 2 - We’ll visit the small town Pizzo, taste the tartufo (the famous ice cream) and free dinner in Pizzo

STAGE 3 - Return in the Hotel

DAY 4

STAGE 1 - Breakfast, then going to the medieval town Badolato, settle and lunch. Guided tour in the afternoon and free dinner. 

DAY 5

STAGE 1 - Breakfast, then visit the cheese maker in Guardavalle, lunch on the beautiful porch, and in the afternoon visit Soverato, a beautiful town on the beach.

STAGE 2 - Return to Badolato in the evening. Free dinner.

DAY 6

STAGE 1 - Breakfast, then visit the winery Casa Ponziana, lunch, then return in the afternoon to Badolato. Free dinner.

DAY 7

STAGE 1 - Breakfast, then traveling in Tropea (last year it was titled the most beautiful town in Italy), settle at Il Borghetto di Tropea and light lunch.

STAGE 2 - 2 pm- Boat tour and explore the beautiful beaches, free dinner.

DAY 8

STAGE 1 - Breakfast and visit the Asfalantea Association where Franca teaches us how to make bread.

STAGE 2 - Return to Hotel and free dinner.

DAY 9

STAGE 1 - Breakfast and onion experience, we’ll visit the Tropea onions field, the most famous onions in the world. Free afternoon in Tropea and farewell dinner.

DAY 10

Depart back to New York

  1. What forms of payment do you accept?
    Cash, Credit Card, Check, PayPal.
  2. What is your cancellation policy?
    $500 non refundable deposit. (Unless noted below) 

    Payment in full is required at 30 days prior to departure REFUNDS / In the event that we must cancel a trip, you will be given a full refund of all deposits and payments.

    We do not give refunds of deposits or final payments for tours that commence as scheduled, including for unused portions of the tour. We do give credit for cancellations as noted below. 

    Cancellation policy: In the event you cancel your tour for any reason, we allow credit for payments (but not the non-refundable deposit) in the following way: 
    - 100% credit for future tours given with 90 days notice. 
    - No credit given for cancellation less than 30 days prior to start date of the tour. 

    The airport in Calabira is Called: Lamezia Terme (SUF) 

    We must reach a minimum of 12 People to have this tour. 

    If this number is not reeached we will return all monies.
  3. What document are required to travel to Italy?
    Passport (not to expire within 6months of leaving the USA), proof of vaccination.
