Our olive oil in small quantities comes from carefully selected organic olives from family farms in Calabria, producing the highest standard of extra virgin olive oil on the market. Its purity and potent high phenol content are believed to provide exceptional anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant activity, removing harmful compounds from the body. These antioxidants are also responsible for the rich, robust flavour. The higher the number of biophenols, the greater the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties available in a particular olive and olive oil.
An olive oil with a biophenol count of 220 is considered high. Our Olio de Fuedo has a biophenol count of 546.
